Black & White Oil painting

Black and White oil on cardboard canvas. It isn't finished, because we are done with the model. Isn't quite dry yet either, thus the blotchy areas in the background.

caricature and sketch

Guys, never draw a caricature of a girl you know and show it to them. Self image is BIG for them. be warned ;)

Sketched this from the window of a cottage in Muskoka. There wasn't actually a coyote out there, but we did have a very sickly looking fox visit us regularily. We gave him lots of chicken to eat.

These are the odd-couple parents of one of my childhood best friends. He took after his father and was skinny with red hair. We became friends because I was one of hte few who didn't call him carrot head, and I sometimes defended him. ANyhow his mother was HUGE and his grandma and older brother where enourmous too. And his dad was this wiry chain smoking welder straight out of "King of the Hill"

His family was so different from mine and so wacky that I loved to hang out there. what 12 year old wouldn't want to play with a friend who had pellet guns, porno mags, bows n' arrows, crazy uncles and a huge property to wreak havoc on.

Toronto's top model

The organizer said we had a rare treat tonight and he wasn't kidding. This woman had a perfect body and face in every possible way AND she did excellent poses.

My drawings don't do her justice but she was by far the most beautiful model I've ever had the privilege to draw.

The Thin White Duke

I watched the documentary: "Cracked Actor" on the internet on UTUBE about when Bowie came to america and started singing soul and dressing as the Thin White Duke, surviving on a diet of milk, peppers and cocaine. Also when The Man Who Fell to the Earth was filmed. I dunno I liked the whole alienation thing and the clothes and the great soul songs from that part of his career.

a proud King

Pride of Royal proportions. Luckily he has servants who support him.

I think the idea for this one came up through one of Lubomir Arsov's musings.

The Stilted Ones

Among the trenches pace the muttering mensches;
Clack! clack! sound sound the pegs, where one would normally find legs.
Alas! It was really no secret at all. They where but two feet tall!

shock you

I have to admit that I listen to Stern a LOT when I'm at home animating or drawing. Either that or music. What can I say, he may be narcissistic but he is damn entertaining!
